Opteon™ XL40 (R-454A) is a non-ozone depleting refrigerant providing an optimal balance of properties for industrial and commercial refrigeration systems, while also serving as the ideal R-22 and R-404A replacement.

Opteon™ XL40 refrigerant is an A2L low global warming potential (GWP) hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) based refrigerant that enables much larger charge sizes than other, more highly flammable refrigerants like propane (R-290) or isobutane (R-600).

Opteon™ XL41 closely matches the performance of R-410A and in some cases provides superior capacity and efficiency. Additionally, Opteon™ XL41 has a GWP of 466: that's a 78% reduction vs. R-410A

Opteon™ XP44 (R-452A) refrigerant is a non-ozone depleting, low global warming potential (GWP) hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) based replacement for R-404A and R-507 refrigerants. It can be used in new commercial refrigeration equipment and for the retrofit of existing systems.

Opteon™ XP44 is well-suited for use in direct-expansion (DX) chillers, as well as for commercial systems that provide low- and medium-temperature transport DX refrigeration, such as refrigerated trucks, refrigerated vans, and reefer containers. It also can be used in low- and medium-temperature commercial and industrial DX refrigeration systems.

R410a refrigerant is a mixture of HFCs. Can be used in some centrifugal compressors and low temperature applications due to the similar boiling point of all components. R410a has been developed for the new applications of R22.

Note! Compared to other refrigerants, R410a works at a much higher pressure, it cannot be used as a substitute for R22 installations. In systems designed for R410a, it is used in domestic and commercial air conditioning equipment, chillers for air conditioning of industrial buildings and industrial refrigeration.

Made in the US, Opteon™ YF (R-1234yf) offers comparable thermodynamic performance to R-134a and similar energy efficiency and capacity—with the benefit of zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and very low global warming potential (GWP). 

The AIM (American Innovation and Manufacturing) Act of 2020 mandates a phasedown of production and use of HFCs, including R-134a, over the next 15 years. Opteon™ XP40 (R-449A) refrigerant is an environmentally sustainable, non-ozone depleting refrigerant offering a low global warming potential (GWP) and a superior R-507 replacement.

Opteon™ XP40 (R449A) has been successfully used in a wide range of commercial refrigeration applications. This refrigerant provides improved performance versus R404A and R507 in new and existing equipment, and has become the leading refrigerant used in various applications 

R32 is a HFC refrigerant, used as a replacement for R410A in low temperature refrigeration and air-conditioning applications. This refrigerant is a preferred replacement for R410A in new equipment. R32 is not to be used as a retrofit.

Today the largest consumers of R134a are in pharmaceutical as the propellant in asthma inhalers and in the automotive aftermarket industry for re-gassing air-conditioning systems in cars manufactured before 2017.

Because of the sheer volume of R134a escaping from cars, the European legislation changed in 2017 banning the use of refrigerants with a GWP higher than 150 in cars manufactured after the 1st January 2017.

The widely accepted replacement for R134a in automotive is R1234yf and is part of a new 4th generation of refrigerant fluids called HFO’s (Hydrofluoroolefin’s).

R1234yf has a GWP of just 4. This makes it over 357 times lower than R134a and much better for our environment.

Opteon™ XP10 (R-513A) refrigerant is a non-ozone depleting potential (ODP), low global warming potential (GWP) hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) based replacement for R-134a.

Opteon™ XP10 offers an excellent capacity and efficiency match for R-134a in new and retrofitted systems, and an optimal balance of properties, including high performance, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
